We're delighted to share that Ray Law, founder of moneyappi, has been asked to join the Advisory Board of the Policy Liaison Group (PLG) on Workplace Wellbeing.

The appointment marks an important milestone for moneyappi and reflects the growing recognition that financial wellbeing is a critical component of employee wellbeing, workplace productivity and economic growth.

The Policy Liaison Group brings together employers, policymakers and industry experts to help shape the future of workplace wellbeing.

Through research, policy engagement and collaboration, the group works to ensure employee wellbeing remains high on the agenda for both businesses and government.

Why financial wellbeing matters

For many years, conversations about workplace wellbeing focused primarily on physical health and, more recently, mental health.

While these remain vitally important, financial wellbeing is increasingly being recognised as another key pillar of employee wellbeing.

Financial worries don't stop when employees start their working day.

Concerns about bills, debt, savings or financial security can affect concentration, productivity and overall wellbeing.

As a result, more employers are looking at how they can support employees to build financial resilience and improve their financial confidence.

This shift is reflected in broader policy discussions around financial inclusion and financial capability.

There is growing recognition that helping people develop healthier financial habits and build greater financial resilience can benefit not only individuals but also employers, communities and the wider economy.

A seat at the table

As a member of the Advisory Board, moneyappi will contribute its expertise in financial wellbeing and employee financial resilience to support the PLG's work with employers, policymakers and workplace wellbeing specialists.

Ray Law, co-founder of moneyappi, said: "I'm delighted to be part of the Policy Liaison Group on Workplace Wellbeing and to support its important work bringing employers, policymakers and experts together.

“You can really feel the momentum and progress building across the workplace wellbeing sector, with employers increasingly recognising that supporting the physical, mental and financial health of their staff is not only the right thing to do, but central to business resilience, productivity and economic growth.

“At moneyappi, our mission is to prevent financial stress and anxiety, and we are excited to contribute to the PLG's work as it helps shape government reviews, policy development and expert-led discussions."

Looking ahead

The conversation around employee benefits is changing.

Organisations are moving beyond traditional benefits packages and increasingly focusing on initiatives that support long-term employee wellbeing and resilience.

Financial wellbeing is becoming a more important part of that discussion.

Employers are recognising that helping employees improve their financial health can have a positive impact on engagement, productivity and overall wellbeing.

We're excited to work alongside fellow Advisory Board members and contribute to the important conversations shaping the future of workplace wellbeing.

Together, we can continue building workplaces where employees are supported not just physically and mentally, but financially too.
